Why Nelson King?
Nelson King was inspired by Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King Jr.
These two self-sacrificing individuals created lasting improvement and empowerment in the lives of millions of people. No surprise then that Nelson King aims to help, empower and delight as many people as we can.
Human Policy
We allocate resources from our turnover to alleviate suffering in the third world. Historically this has been by funding APOC, the African Program for Onchocerciasis Control. Onchocerciasis is ‘River Blindness’, a particularly nasty disease mostly prevalent in West Africa and Indonesia. Every placement through Nelson King saves 150 eyesights and lives. In the future, we will fund any humanitarian or environmental cause that our staff feel passionately about.
